Worship Update

Many of you took part in a survey specific to your feelings about in-person worship. These survey results were helpful as a team of people gathered last week to begin discussions around what reopening the church could look like. Pastor Mark released a video HERE with their next steps. The great news from the survey is that 54% of respondents have experienced worship and God's presence the same or more since moving to online worship. In addition, 56% of you have connected with Good Shepherd outside of worship (small group, devotional time, etc.). By reading through the response summary, 50% of you want to wait several weeks or quite a while to attend in-person worship, and 63% want to wait until the number of coronavirus cases in our area is very low. We are thrilled to be able to provide quality opportunities for you to connect to God and others during this time and ask for your prayers for our church leadership.

Ways to Stay Connected

Connect with a Pastor
Need someone to talk to? In need of prayer? Have questions about Good Shepherd? Want to get to know a pastor better? For all these reasons and more we are offering you the chance to sign up to connect with a pastor virtually. We have many slots to choose from and offer you the chance to talk  with any one of our pastors, Mark, Bryan, Kayla, Fabian, or Diannah. Sign up HERE and you will receive the link to join.

Online Worship
We are planning for energizing and compelling worship each Sunday morning. The service will be pre-recorded, then uploaded to our website HERE at 9 am and live-streamed on our Facebook pages at 9 and 10:30 am. The service will then be available any time after that to replay. Each week, we will have representatives from all three of our campuses. We’ll offer things for the whole family and even give you the chance to take communion in your home. Tune in 15 minutes early for extra pre-worship content.

This may be a good time for you to invite your loved ones without a home church - or those whose home churches lack the technology to live stream - to join you in a virtual watch party. Feel free to share our video with your friends and family.

Campus pastors will be sharing mid-week messages:
  • Kayla will be sharing an object lesson at noon on WEDNESDAYS on the Gladstone Facebook page.
  • Fabian will be sharing a devotional at 6 pm on THURSDAYS on the Platte County Facebook and Instagram pages
  • Our music ministry will also be sharing one or two worship songs across all three pages at 7 pm on FRIDAYS.

In addition, there are times to connect directly with our pastors over Zoom.
  • Friday 3:30 pm coffee chat with Kayla HERE
  • Saturday 8 am coffee chat with Kayla HERE
  • Sunday 2 pm coffee chat with Fabian, Zoom code 754-113-835

We know there are needs in our community. We want to know how we can help meet those needs and we want to be in prayer for you. Submit prayer requests and needs HERE.  Now, more than ever, we need to be the church for each other and our community.

It is true that for some, these are times of anxiety and uncertainty. Know that we are praying for you, with you and alongside you. Our God is bigger than our circumstances and our faith is our anchor of peace. The best is yet to come!

gsKids

gsKids will share a virtual lesson at the end of each week's live stream. You can watch it our gsKids Facebook pages any time throughout the week. We have accompanying coloring sheets, family lessons and more available for you to download HERE. We are also sharing content several times per week on our Facebook pages.
