Mary and Martha
Jesus didn’t walk his journey alone. Along the way, Jesus was surrounded by people who followed, served, doubted, failed, sacrificed and believed. Some were bold and outspoken. Others stayed in the background. But each one played a part in the story of redemption unfolding around them. They were his Entourage.
In this series, we’ll take a closer look at the lives of some of Jesus’ closest followers—not just the famous names, but also the ones who are often overlooked. From Mary and Martha’s tension between doing and being, to Judas’s heartbreaking betrayal. We’ll learn from Simon of Cyrene and Joseph of Arimathea what sacrifice and quiet faith look like. We’ll walk with Peter through the highs and lows of discipleship. And finally, we’ll witness Mary Magdalene’s unwavering devotion and her role as the first to proclaim the risen Christ.
These stories are more than history—they are mirrors. They show us our struggles, our questions, our hopes. And they remind us that Jesus still invites imperfect people to walk closely with him and join his Entourage.
